About

Hi. My name is Brigid Day. I’m a wife, a mom (twice over), a freelance writer and a small business owner. I like to think I have a sense of humor. I like naps. And chocolate. There are a lot of things I really just don’t care about. And there are a lot that I do. These are my stories…

(Oh and the cast of characters: Mike is my rarely talked about husband – he prefers it that way.  Maggie is my never-stops-talking seven-year-old daughter. And Nick is my sweet mama’s boy five-year-old son. And I, apparently, like hyphens almost as much as chocolate.)

B-Day! (your given nickname) Thanks for the link to your blog. You most certainly have a gift and flair for the written word! Keep making us laugh with your insight and wit! “If you wake up everyday and all you want to do is write, then you’re a writer!” Sage wisdom spoken by the wise and knappy Ms. Whoopi Goldberg in Sister Act 2 with a twist. I can’t wait to get a signed copy of your first novel, children’s book, poetry collection…etc. Whatever you decide to write will be phenomenal!! Go for your dreams!!

Later,

Alan

Does Alan really call you B-Day? like the commode with water?
I feel like a six year old, making a groaner-joke. Had to ask.

Ha. I never thought of it like baday the toilet more like B-day (like bee day as in happy b-day!) I’m not sure which he meant, now that I think of it!

Where is the “Like” button, no wait “Laugh” button!
I look forward to every post.
Thanks for the smiles. I usually retell my favorite posts to my husband and we laugh together. This is great.
Cheers Brigid!

Oooh, now I feel the pressure to be funny. :) Luckily I have two kids who make the funny come naturally. Thanks for your support Kathy!
